Geena Davis

Geena has been a popular American producer, actress and writer who also advocates for women's rights. Beyond her numerous roles in Hollywood, she has received the acclaim of critics for her role in televisions serials of all genres. Prior to her move into film she worked as a fashion model as well as a part of semi-finalist Team of Women's Archery in Olympics. Music was her passion since the age of three led her to study the piano and flute. The organist she played was in a Church located in Wareham. The path she took to become an actor began at New York City when she received her degree from Boston University's dramatic program. After a lot of struggle, she ended up working odd jobs and doing other tasks before getting her breakthrough. She had been a model throughout her career before making her film debut with 'Tootsie. The film was made in 1982. Then, her acting career became very lucrative and she won the Oscar Award. The Golden Globe Award was awarded to her as well for her work in a US TV drama.
